Session 2: 1:50-2:40

Suggested age: 5-8
Length of workshop: 50 minutes

ABOUT THE SESSIONS
They are always really fun and informal! We keep them as varied as possible enabling the children to explore different ways of working and to discover different mediums, from painting, to sculpture, to collage and more. Check back here in August for more details about what we’ll be covering each week!
DURING THE SESSIONS
You’re welcome to join in with the children or relax at the other end of the space while the session takes place. For any children 4 and under we ask that a grown up sits with them during the session. Younger siblings are welcome to play while the session takes place.

HERE'S WHAT WE'LL BE COVERING...
09/09 - Magical Memory boxes
We’re kicking off the autumn reflecting back on the wonderful summer we’ve had! We’ll have fun making our very own summer memory boxes inspired by artist Joseph Cornell.
Bring along any little objects you’ve collected over the summer that remind you of the fun times - they could be little shells, pebbles, leaves or train tickets, mini souvenirs, badges… During the session we’ll bring everything together to create a memory frame to hang up at home! If you have a selection of photos, email them to me at hello@wonderden.co.uk and I can print them out in miniature for you during the session.
16/09 - Crazy Collage
We’ll have fun diving into the world of collage, creating a huge collaborative art piece using coloured paper to hang up at Ecofest the following weekend! Then we’ll move over to the tables creating smaller single colour collages, looking at colour shading and negative space inspired by artist Polina belenchuk
23/09 - Shadow Art Attack
Get ready to create your very own shadow theatre and puppets! We'll start off on the floor creating shadows big and small and drawing around them, then we’ll have fun making a shadow theatre box and puppets which you can enjoy creating a play with at home.
Think of a simple story and the characters you’d like to feature in your show!
07/10 - Marvellous Mosaic
This week we’re going small scale, using lots of tiny coloured tiles to make our very own mosaic mirrors to hang up at home! We'll be taking inspiration from the incredible artist Antoni Gaudí. If you have any beads or tiles you'd like to add to your mirror, bring them along!
14/10 - Spooktacular tie dye
Halloween is just around the corner, so we’re going to get out the dye and pimp up our old tops ready to wear at halloween! Bring along two old t-shirts or long sleeve tops (If you buy new ones just make sure to wash them before hand)
